My name is Ashley and I am the owner and lead designer of Floraison Design Co., a boutique design studio in Seattle, Washington. Prior to designing stationery I worked in the Washington wine and beverage industry creating branding and packaging for a variety of wine, beer, cider and spirits companies. It was there that I discovered my love of illustration (and wine) as I flexed my creative muscles designing a variety of different logos and labels, all of which featured different styles and levels of illustration.
In college I majored in both fine art and public relations and advertising, and minored in art history. I am especially enamored with the art of the Italian Renaissance and gave very serious thought to becoming a professor of art history before deciding to pursue graphic design and illustration.
When I’m not hard at work with pen, pencil, or paintbrush in hand I enjoy spending time at home with my wonderful husband and baby, traveling (Napa is my absolute favorite!), hunting for treasures at local antique stores, and tending to my many plants. I am an avid gardener and plant enthusiast, and floral design serves as a primary source of inspiration in my work. The name “Floraison,” is French for “bloom” and is a nod to both love of florals and my passion for all things French. Thank you so much for stopping by! I look forward to creating something beautiful for you.
